Anyone who gets to home games early may understand how the playing of this record every game does my head in. I know it is just pre match entertainment in the 30 minutes before the game but boy does it give me headache.
If anyone has any contacts with the pre match crew tell them I am more than happy to lend them a copy of my Best of Val Donican album to give some alternatives.

Must say I'm not a fan of that particular piece of music either, but I do like the pre-match announcer and his choice of music generally. Good sprinkling of Jam, for example.
And it's FAR better than the Martin Allen era when we just had the three songs, played over and over again..... I gather this was the manager's selection?

My comments were, of course, very much tongue in cheek. Just got a thing about the incessant beat and repetitive lyric nature of that one song. My daughter tells me I'm a dinosaur. All in all I think they do a good job, just shoot that renegade.

I agree that Val Doonican was around before a lot of people were born, but I am not sure from what era Renegade Master came. I do actually think though that Val Doonican's song Walk Tall has good lyrics attached to it regardless of the era.

Pretty happy with the indie/alternative classics belted out pre match personally, whoever chooses the playlist is a bit of a legend in my eyes

Quite like a bit of the ill behaviour myself.
