Really looking forward to the first pre season game hopefully see all the new signings in action. Believe it or not the season is on four weeks away. What are people's predictions for the new season. I'm optimistic though feel we need two more forwards in and possible a play making midfielder.

For sure we need 2 more strikers I think. Biggest problem is that strikers cost a lot of money. I’d expect 1 to come in. Maybe a loan signing from a club in the football league could also lend us a player or two. I’d expect a full-back / wing-back to come in too as cover for Greener and Partington.
I’d still expect 3-4 players to come in. But the priority at the moment has to be a striker. Can’t rely of Rendall and williamson to replace McCallum’s goals last season

1-1 draw good workout against very good blackfield and Langley side. Sam Smart stand out player in first half with lot of pace and good delivery. One trialists each half both wingers. 1st half pa Niije ex Stevenage and Gambia and ntetnational and played in Turkish 2nd division last season unfortunately did not make a flgreat impress also he is mo barrow's cousin winger at reading. 2nd trialists in second half was Goodard ex aldershot winger who looked very good dangerous and be good with him one flank and Sam smart the other. On to slough tuesday.

I remember Goddard playing for Swindon when Eastleigh beat them in the FA cup a few seasons ago and thought he was one of their better players so was surprised to learn he was playing for Aldershot last year. Definitely worth a punt in my opinion. Only 26 as well

Was that John Goddard, ex-Woking? If so, I agree - he's a good player, although Woking fans reckon he hasn't fulfilled his potential since he left them.
Didn't set the world alight at Aldershot either, according to this (also some interesting comparisions re Zeb/Rendell):
I also think he's worth a punt if we can afford it. We might be able to 'rescue' him, as we've done with a few others. And it's the way we should be going.
