I wonder if I might not be the only one who has wondered what conditions were attached to Stewart's sale of the club to the four current owners for, reportedly, £1. (I'm not sure whether that was £1 each or between them.)
For example, if it was a condition that he had an option to buy the club back from them for £4 within a given time, then you'd have to guess that might happen.
If there is no such option and no other restriction on the club's resale to a 'sixth' party, and the four owners are therefore able to sell to whomever they want, we might have to wonder what they are waiting for. It looks to me like a great investment for anyone with the funds, now that all the big player contracts are out of the way and with no debt on the books.

I never knew Stewart , however there arnt to many like him around , seems to me a man with money and good intentions when it came to EFC , whatever goes on in the background we shall probably never know , but I think everyone is doing a great job and as the saying goes , everything will turn out good , that’s my pint half full opinion I hope more of you feel the same.

So another twist in the tale. If the deal on the table goes through then SD will own just 10% of Sunderland. Am I right in thinking he can then still own another football club? Didn’t he own 10% of Oxford whilst he was our 100% owner? I wonder what his next plan might be? Counting his profits, I should imagine.
Not much more information locally at the moment:

He is probably wondering the exact same thing.

Lots of stories regarding Sunderland but nothing has happened as of yet. Invariably the media jumps the gun a bit in these sort these of situations.
Any deal, even if agreed by SD and a prospective new owner, would be subject to approval from the EFL.

I see that Stewart Donald has recently sent this tweet in response to a Sunderland fan.
I will be here next season and many beyond.” Also adding that reports stating his stake in Sunderland was set to drop to below 10% were wide of the mark

Stewart acts impulsively. He could already feel differently.

I am aware that things can change quickly in football, and that it is not unknown for Stewart to act impulsively, but it is perhaps worth saying that this tweet was sent on 19th June at 9.46 PM so I am not sure whether he has changed his mind since then.
I also read an article published in the Sunderland Echo today saying that any transfer of shares to Mark Campbell has yet to be completed.
Stewart is one of the major organisers at a charity event in Sunderland on 29th June so if he does intend to leave the club his departure does not appear to be imminent.

He didn't "intend" to leave EFC and 24 hours before he decided to join Sunderland, he was saying he was fully Committed to Eastleigh and couldn't see himself leaving. Then BANG he is off. That is just the way he works. I'm not saying he is leaving Sunderland, or that if he did he would rejoin us, all I am saying is that he himself can't be sure what he is doing, as he is prone to act very impulsively.

Nothing wrong with setting your sights high, Most people who watch EFC would love to see him back and those that say they are glad hes gone are liars.
