Come July, loads of good players will still be available and looking for a club, they will also be cheaper. In an ideal world the whole squad will be done and dusted by mid June, but given we have limited budget, that means we need to be prudent and sensible. We have to trust those running our club. After all SD was famous for signing players the day before yesterday, and look where that got us!
Hope you're right! You could also argue that if a few teams haven't signed anybody in July, then prices will actually go up, as desperate clubs fight for mediocre players 'left on the shelf'. But I agree you might get some bargains at that time too.
'After all SD was famous for signing players the day before yesterday, and look where that got us!' - was that meant as a good thing, or a bad thing?

Yes - now 32, did really well for Woking for a couple of seasons, then got a terrible knee injury. Thankfully recovered and then moved to Aldershot where he did well enough in a relegation (maybe reprieved) team. Both Shots and Cards fans seem to think his best days are behind him, hope he proves them wrong.
Like McCallum, he's good in the air and can hold the ball up. Welcome and good luck, Scott!
Our Twitter also mentions that Hollands and Miley have signed terms for next season, in addition to Williamson. Williamson and Rendell... might not be bad.
