Hey everyone. So as you are all aware the Boreham Wood game kicks off at the earlier time of 12:30 which means that it should finish around 2:20. This means that you all have a free afternoon and I bet you're all wondering if there's anything decent to do before returning home later that day.
Well wonder no more because I have the perfect solution.
2 games in 1 day.
I come here representing Hadley FC. We play in the South Midlands premier division and our last game of the season is at home to Stotfold. Our ground is easily reachable from Meadow Park so you will easily make kick off. I will be in the away end with you guys at Boreham Wood. I have a mate who is an Eastleigh fan and I've already been to 2 matches supporting Eastleigh so far this season.
Here's why coming to Hadley is a great idea...
1) Beer. Worried about missing out on your post match pints. Worry no more because at our level you're allowed to drink while watching the game. So you can still have some beer with your mates and watch some football at the same time. We have a wide range of beer available. Lagers and real ales. We also brew our own beer called Brick Beer which you are more than welcome to try.
2) Free entry - for this game we are doing a new entry scheme which to our knowledge has never been done before. A lot of clubs have done a pay what you want scheme. At Hadley we are doing a pay what you want as you leave scheme. So if you're heavily entertained you can chuck in more money but if it's a boring 0-0 you can just leave and you've got yourselves a free match. It's up to you.
3) Good football. The team are currently 3rd in the league and could go 2nd if we win and Tring lose to Biggleswade United. Stotfold are 3rd bottom and need to win to guarantee safety so the game should be an open, entertaining one.
4) Tennis balls. At Hadley we do a half time 50/50 like a lot of non league clubs. However, we are the only club in the world to do it with tennis balls instead of the normal raffle tickets. At half time you will be instructed to throw your numbered tennis balls onto the pitch and the ball closest to the centre spot is the winner. So our 50/50 is skill based rather than luck based. It's also a lot more fun than a standard 50/50.
So please come and join us at the Hadley game after Boreham Wood away. The matchday experience is superb. You will not be disappointed. And remember, pay what you want as you leave.
How to get there!
The ground address is Brickfield Lane. Arkley. Barnet. EN5 3LD.
There is car parking available at the ground.
You can also catch the 107 bus from Elstree Studios towards New Barnet. This stops right outside the ground at the Brickfield Lane stop. If you catch the 2:36 bus then you will make it there just before kick off. The buses run every 15 mins.
After the game you can catch the 107 back to High Barnet, New Barnet or Elstree and Borehamwood stations.
Anymore questions, please ask and I'll see you all in the away end at Boreham Wood.
