Once we had the 2 0 lead we changed our style of play. Our best form of defence against Fylde was attack. Again for 20 mins we played really well then the opposition contained us and kept us under control. Though we were awarded a soft penalty the spot kick was poor. Once we start to struggle pointless high balls are pumped up front which come quickly back. We looked desperate 2nd half but Fylde looked assured. There left back was a very good player constantly pushing forward and making strong runs. For last 20 mins or so Rowe almost played as a midfielder leaving others to make runs. An entertaining game with some very good football, nice weather nice company and a Ref who was pretty sound. Shame about the result
9 goals against in 3 matches tells its own story. Its largely the story of our season. We are invariably dangerous going forward, especially from set plays, but defensively, we are very erratic and any team who run at us cause any number of problems. We badly need RJ back, hopefully sooner rather than later.
