Just didn't work for us yesterday. Similar game to Halifax I thought.
Hopefully we will come back refreshed after the 2 week break.

According to the Echo interview with Strevs, the booing was at half time (I still didn't hear it).
That's even more bizarre, since we had just played 45 mins into a gale force wind against a good team and were only 0-1 down with every chance of turning the game around. The ref wasn't particularly bad so it couldn't have been that either.
Our second half performance was poor, but, as I said, in no way justified any booing, given what the team have done this season.
Oh, and we missed Joey Jones in midfield.

I think the manager's post match interview summed it up perfectly with no excuses. We could not match Barrow for energy. It would be nice if the club could just apply a little bit of energy to the website. I would not expect miracles but it would be good if someone could at least bring the fixture list up to date - which currently it is not.

John, we all know a club's website SHOULD be the place to go for everything, however I rarely look at it these days. We have the Fora, Facebook, Twitter & probably Instagram & the club/media team seem to prefer to post on the latter 3. Now, we don't all subscibe to the social media platforms, but it seems the club want to do it that way. Not saying it's the right way to do things but I can cope with what we have atm. I wasn't at the Fan's Forum, but was the club website mentioned then, anyone?

Two things are unforgiveable:
1) Booing of Eastleigh FC. It helps absolutely nothing and is just plain wrong. 2) The social media stuff not being bang up to date. In 2019 simply inexcusable. Just sort it!

I wasn't at the Fan's Forum, but was the club website mentioned then, anyone? I agree Martin that there is no problem for us regular supporters to find out when the next game is. It is different though for neutral football followers and even possibly for occasional supporters. If, for example, I think I might go and watch Gosport Borough or Walton Casuals next Saturday I will look at the fixture list on their respective websites. If no home fixture is showing I will assume there is no game and I will go somewhere else. So anyone interested in watching a match in this area on Tuesday night 2nd April will see if they look at the Eastleigh FC fixture web page that the first team aren't playing that evening and will find somewhere else to go. Perhaps the club wants to keep it a secret but actually I think we are playing Barnet at home that night. I hope enough people are aware of that to generate a modicum of support, despite the website indicating that there isn't a game.

I think we've had this conversation before!
I hardly ever look at the Eastleigh FC website now - our fixtures can be found on the BBC Sport website, for one. Or the Kempster non-league forum, which has fixtures for all leagues down to Step 7/8 (Hampshire Premier League level). These two are always up to date. For any detail on a match nearer the time, or whether it's on or not, I use Twitter, for both Eastleigh and other clubs. Eastleigh's club's Facebook account is also up-to-date. As I've said before, many club official websites seem to be more for 'static' information nowadays - press releases, match reports, how to get there, etc. But I agree the fixture list should be up-to-date. So who's in charge of the website?

I do wonder whether the fans who booed at half time were those who had not seen a game since Halifax. However even if that was the case perhaps they should realise that in five of the eight home victories we have outscored the opposition in the second period having been level at the interval, while in the other three we have held on to our interval lead without conceding. Therefore I think that whereas our home record resembles that of a mid-table team it is fair to say that a good percentage of the points we have obtained have been due to the second half performances.
I think that the club rely mainly on social media ands the official website for their communications and they do not use the unofficial forums at all. I look at this website most of all and if anything is cancelled at short notice and I am pushed for time I am often reliant on someone copying and pasting a tweet on here. I think that there are a lot of people who come to matches on a regular basis and have been involved in local football for a number of years that the clubhardly know.
