I see both Fareham Town and Havant and Waterlooville are reporting the death of former Eastleigh manager Trevor Parker. I know he had two successful stints at Bashley and took Fareham to the FA Trophy semi final, losing to Kidderminster with the home leg played at the Dell. Working with him during his stint at Eastleigh at the turn of the century his knowledge and contacts were immense. Always a real pleasure to talk with and learn from. RIP.
I am sure Malcolm will be able to give us a more i depth overview. I assume there will be a minutes silence at our next home game just as there is planned at Fareham this Saturday.

Very sad news and certainly deserving of a minutes silence at our next home game. Best wishes, and Gods blessings to his family.

A legend - the only man who's managed Eastleigh at Wembley Stadium (so far).......
....... he led Eastleigh Social Club to Wembley for the final of the Carlsberg Pub Cup.

With Cliff Huxford and Kevin Dixon also passing away that is three former members of the football management team who have passed away in the last six months.
Significant that AFC Totton, Fareham Town, Basingstoke Town, Bashley and Poole Town all of whom he managed before coming to Eastleigh all acknowledge his passing and he has clearly been one of the most successful local managers and I think he is also a former player of this club.

It is a matter of regret that Trevor's passing has not been commented upon by EFC on Twitter, Facebook or on the club webpages. However its no surprise, the management of the club has been cut to the bone, and I doubt that anyone in the office would have a clue who Trevor was (or indeed if anyone reads the Echo where it was covered).

Trevor Parker was at the club before I started supporting, but I'd certainly heard of him. Something to raise at the Fans'Forum.
