Genuine question as I fear that those at the club have little or no experience in appointing a manager or indeed carrying out interviews for such an important decision. When will we find out who replaces both JS and Jewell as owners? We have so many issues that need clarification.

No answers at all to your questions, but I'm sure we will all get to know the outcome in due course. When that will be is also a question no one on here will be able to answer. We'll just have to wait & see.

Exactly my point, no one knows what is happening to our club. We are becoming a laughing stock, how the mighty have fallen, in a matter of a year our 5 year plan has gone south and we have more chance of dropping down a league rather than moving into the FL.

Not so. We do have some challenges at our club, but the situation is no where near as gloomy as you are painting. I don't know who will be doing the interviewing, but am sure Kenny Amor will be involved in some capacity. My understanding is that we are down to a short list of 6 and we will have a name, pretty soon. Hopefully by Saturday.

Merlin we are in no worse a position as Hartlepool,Leyton Orient, Dagenham & Redbridge or more recently Ebbsfleet and they have or will come through their problems and we are still in a better position than we would have imagined. I’m sure this week will bring us a new manager and things will look better. However if we were relegated I for one will still support the Spitfires

You have hit the nail on the head Amor will be involved full of experience in identifying a quality football manager. I rest my case.

You underestimate Kenny. He is no fool, loves the club, and he will gather the help he needs in making a good decision on our next manager. Football is full of very experienced football people who made really made poor decisions on appointing a new manager. I don't know what experience Kenny has, but I do know I trust him to lead the club forward. We could have a lot worse.

We currently have 6 board members I believe and so I assume some/most of them will be involved. Possibly even some others from the club with experience of interviewing/recruiting as well.

would trust those at the club now to make a decision more than when stewart was doing it all himself. making sensible decisions was not one of stewart donalds strong points

Our club is at a X roads and I agree with the op, I have little confidence in the driver no matter how nice he is. The club is in turmoil at the moment and it needs sorting. When will we know who will buy the 50% of shares that are for sale? We have been taken on a journey, but the journey has left us in the wilderness and with no idea where we are going. We don’t appear to have enough money to buy a ticket to complete this dream journey, so will we be returning to our original starting point with a bus we cannot afford to run?

I'd prefer to say we've parked the bus while the sat-nav re-routes from fastest journey to slower and safer route, and the driver needed a rest so another one will continue the journey

Of course he can get off the bus and go and eat in the transport cafe made to look like a 5* restaurant but losing money day after day.

If one considers the journey the club has been on (4 promotions in 12 seasons to move from the Wessex League to the National League) and are likely next autumn to be starting a 6th successive season in the National League it is one that most current Wessex League clubs can only dream of, especially with the cost of the season tickets and the fact that we do not have the same ground problems that the likes of Truro and Basingstoke have.
I am not sure whether Stewart had any experience of recruiting football managers when he joined the club, but I think that his first appointment was a good one.
