Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Polish goalkeeper Max Stryjek on loan from Sunderland.
The 22-year-old shot stopper has joined the club on an initial one month loan.
Stryjek moved to Sunderland in 2014 after spending 7 years at Polonia Warsaw in his home country.
The 6ft 2in ‘keeper is yet to make his first team debut for the Black Cats, but has enjoyed loan spells at Boston United in 2015 and Accrington Stanley in 2017, with the latter cut short due to injury.
Stryjek has also been capped at u17, u18, and u19 level for the Polish national side.
Following Graham Stack’s retirement, Max will wear the number 1 shirt during his time here.

good news, I note "on an initial one month loan" so sounds like there is a good chance he could be here a bit longer than a month.
The name Max always makes me think of Mad Max, lets hope not!!

Yeah, welcome and good luck to Max - will be interesting to see if he plays today.
Sunderland have had a decent U23 team in the last few years so let's hope he is one of them.
Wonder if we'll get any more players out of Sunderland - I hear they're trying to sell Lee Cattermole..... :-)

"Wonder if we'll get any more players out of Sunderland" - Recent statements by SD and others close to SAFC suggest that they have a similar problem with "legacy players" on long and expensive contracts.

Very solid debut from Max Stryjek (I pronounce it Streeyek, easy enough) today. Guessed right for the pen which wasn't hit that well, distribution pretty good, commanded his box, looked very solid all round. Looks like we have a very reliable keeper for a month. Maybe longer?

His confidence was astounding. Best debut from a keeper I have ever seen.

Maybe it's pronounced Streechek, as said by Ian Wilding. Actually, that sounds better than my first attempt.

His confidence was astounding. Best debut from a keeper I have ever seen. I seem to remember Ryan Clarke having a man of the match debut for us with several worldies included, but a very steady debut from the youngster.

Win, clean sheet, penalty save and man of the match. That is some debut!
So then Sunderland, how about extending that loan...

Loan extended until Dec 22nd!
Heard rumours about this at the game on Saturday. Don't think he could have prevented the result on Saturday (but would have kicked better)...

Good news. His distribution is far superior to Mr Flitney's.
