I see that Tony Smith is the club secretary at AFC Stoneham. I assume that's the TS who was an "ace snapper" at the Silverlake for several seasons.

Well, they did it - just! 3-0 up with 30 minutes to go, Totton & Eling then got three goals in 13 minutes to equalise and cause some nervous moments.... good entertainment, and congratulations to the Purps in the end.

what stands & capacity will the new ground have? It's a Wessex League ground. It'll have a stand and pitch perimeter standing. What more will it need? Capacity is pretty irrelevant at that level.

Saw a new stand with 75(?) purple seats in it earlier whilst travelling past on the M27. Presumably this is AFC Stonehams new ground. Its right next to the M27 bridge on the other side to EFCs ground. Can't be more than a quarter of a mile from the Silverlake. If and when we play them in a competitive game that will certainly be a local derby!

Thank you to all Eastleigh FC supporters
We already have good links with EFC and certainly do hope to build on them in the future . We are optimistic in arranging a pre-season game in the summer.
The new ground is as described and very close to EFC!!
The stand with Purple seats holds 200 and the ground is already future proofed for Step 4 football .
Last night was a fantastic night and we thank all Eastleigh supporters who support us when they can. Like yourselves we hope we are doing Eastleigh and the local community proud

Does he no longer follow Eastleigh? I no longer attend games as I have commitments now at AFC Stoneham but I do look out for your results. Sadly after 12+ years of 'snapping' at the Silverlake it was time to move on for reasons Im not going to discuss on an open forum.

I see that Tony Smith is the club secretary at AFC Stoneham. I assume that's the TS who was an "ace snapper" at the Silverlake for several seasons. You are absolutely spot on. I was the 'ace snapper' who decided it was time to move on for personal reasons. 12 years taking photos was a great time for me and I have accumulated a vast archive of match / action pictures of many magical moments during my time at EFC. I no longer 'snap' and am enjoying my time at AFC Stoneham as secretary. A great club with a fantastic spirit and future. We move to our new facility in a few months time and this will further raise the profile of the club. AFC Stoneham have in the past enjoyed a good relationship with EFC and and it would be good if we could arrange a PSF at our new ground. Sadly we didn't have a PSF at the beginning of this season as we have done in the past but it would be good to get that going again. It was great to see many of you at some of our games this past season in which we celebrated our centenary. We had our first venture into the FA Cup, a good run in the FA Vase, a visit to St Marys in the final of the Southampton Senior Cup and to top it off we were crowned Wessex Div 1 one champions last Thursday. So not a bad year. Good luck in your playoff game on Thursday and yes I will be watching. Tony Smith e mail. secretary@afcstoneham.co.uk

Sounds good. Had not realised it was 200 seats. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh so to speak
