Many thanks for that. It makes perfect sense for the reasons given and the fact of dropping off in town afterwards is a big bonus.

Too lazy to bother to organise it probably. They haven't considered the fact for supporters who used to get on at Station Hill, now have the additional cost of bus fares to and from Stoneham Lane. The airport stealers pick up their supporters in Eastleigh and Winchester, yet TSSC can't do it in their own town!!!!! Spirit of Eastleigh,, Don’t think they are ‘Too Lazy to Bother ‘ at all. Were you at the Forum? , didn’t think so . Too lazy to turn up or just a know all.?

When I first travelled on an Eastleigh coach the only pick up point was the club and it was only fairly recently that the club began to run coaches to all away games.
I do not go to so many away matches as I used to, but the last time I did I was one of the few who was picked up from the station. From a selfish point of view the station is easier especially when returning from work on the train, but I have always regarded making the coaches coat effective and practical as more important than my own individual needs and in truth I would be rarely using the coach wherever the pickup point was.
When the supporters club ran the coaches previously Mark Blake in an unpaid capacity went well above the call of duty in dealing with the issues involved with this and in my mind we need to support the volunteers who give their time selflessly on behalf of the club.

Were you at the Forum? , didn’t think so . Too lazy to turn up or just a know all.? Camellia, how nice to know you, an Eastleigh fan. May I respond to your comments. " Too lazy to turn up at the forum" NO, I have private issues that are unfortunately beyond my control. "Just a know all" I ask questions that I feel are for the good of ALL supporters, that TSSC do not respond in kind lead to the problems and abusive remarks which I do not feel are justified from other fans, but I respect they are entitled to air their views, just as I mine. I do admit, I sometimes sail close to the wind with my comments, and deserve some backlash, but it is only because I care, so I take that, and happily get shot down in flames. It's called debate, having an opinion, and expressing your beliefs. It does not bother me because he/she differs in their opinion from mine - that's life, but it is what makes us all special - we care - we debate - but whatever those views, we are united in one thing, we all love EFC.
A new season is upon us.....we'll see how wrong I was in my comments as the season progress's....but then again...maybe what I've said will bear some fruit. Debate my dear, that's what a forum is all about.

Spirit of Eastleigh,, Debate my dear, that's what a forum is all about. [/span] [/p][/quote] Think you have the right, Camellia, to respond to this post using such words as condescending, chauvinist & patronising. Not my place to say them, of course.

I won’t waste my time responding to spirit of Eastleigh, who assumes I am female and therefore uses such terms.

Well I checked your member profile here, it states you are female, so I am not assuming at all. As to your comments Martin it shows how much this country of ours has gone to the dogs, the PC mob who are just about ruining everything that is great about our country and culture, trying to wipe out our history. Last summer, I kid you not, two police officers rang my doorbell, I answered. I was told I had offended a young lady at Eastleigh Bus Station that afternoon and the police had arrived to tell me. My offence? Two elderly people were stepping in behind me in the queue, I stepped forward to give them room, and accidently bumped into the young lady in front who said "Excuse me you are invading my personal space" as she was texting on her mobile, "Sorry darling" I said. I got off the bus, unaware she had too, she followed me home and reported me. Marvellous how the police could spare two coppers to come round about me calling a women 'darling'. People are being brainwashed into all this rubbish. There are calls now to make giving a wolf whistle, a hate crime!!! Dear God what is happening in our country. Call me sexist if you like, but are men complaining we're called, mate, mush, nipper, bloke? NO...but the PC mob want it outlawed that you cannot say, darling, sweetie, dear, love, sweetheart, to a women, even as I say, the wolf whistle in now under threat. I may be old fashioned, but I do not consider any of those words to be offensive to a lady, its high time this country stopped this rubbish and got on with real police work.

Here's the rub Keith. It doesn't matter what you think, its what the lady thinks that matters. As always its about context. Who, what, when and why. Whilst no-one would ever call me pc; I do think we need to think carefully how our actions and words can affect others, and just because things have changed in the last 20-30 years, doesn't mean everything was right then and everything is wrong now. Sometimes things change for a reason.

thank you Arthur and team for the coach travel. It was excellent-professional, clean and the way the coach was run by the TSSC was far above what I have experienced over last couple of seasons. Well done to you all.
