Never bile, just honesty in a straightforward way which I know is a little too rich sometimes for the delicate flowers on here.

This game about as appealing as beating my testicles with a meat tenderiser I'm going. Its only a fiver and there's sod all on telly, makes perfect sense. Unless you are into a load of nobodies getting insects tipped on 'em. Zzzzz

I guess you’re right. We all know it’s going to be absolute garbage but something cheap to do.

Well whoever didn't go, and that was quite a lot, missed a decent showing tonight. Well worth a fiver.
My only real criticism is that our full backs are too static, when there's plenty of opportunity to run onto a through ball, they insist on being rooted to the spot to collect the pass, and all too often they're closed down and back it goes again.

After the first half the tenderiser was white hot but a super second half. Well done lads.

Ignore that, just read it on the other thread. 😀 Why do we have two threads on every game? 😩

Do you admit you were there, willk? Your positive feedback of the second half is surprising. Not quite how I saw it. The team performed way below what is expected of a professional outfit with too many players way below par. On that performance we'll struggle again against Bromley on Saturday.

The Spitfires looked like they collectively wanted to be anywhere else for almost all of the first half. Hardly a pass reached home feet and the longer it went on, the more the Poppies looked like scoring. No surprise that Bournemouth took the lead before halftime.
Second half there was more urgency, better communication and for the first time the gap in class began to tell. The final 3-1 scoreline probably flattered the Spitfires a bit and like Martin, I think we will need to play a couple of gears higher if Saturday is going to provide points.

I thought Miley was our best player and we need to recruit more of his type for future development. The poppies No 2 was impressive (I think he was called Jermaine😂) who was around 4 foot must have been the smallest player I have seen play football.

The team sheet last night had their No 2 as Aziz Aldahyan. I agree he was very impressive. Got knocked down, got up, got stuck in again. Was still making an impact well into the Second half when some of his fellow Poppies had given their all.

He was quite good but I wouldn't have him at Eastleigh.
