Evening all!
I’m going to be attending my first Eastleigh match with a few others tomorrow night. Which area of the ground has the most vocal support and where would you recommend drinking before the match?
Thanks

behind the goal we are shooting into generally. Mackoy stand 1st half (seated stand) and shed end 2nd half (terrace)
As for drinking pre match depends how long you have got, eastleigh has a few pubs but is a little way from the ground.
Cricketers is about half a mile away and is decent, then there are also 2 bars inside the ground, the hangar and sherwoods.
Enjoy the game mate, its a good club to be involved with

Thanks for the reply Mark
The shed end sounds good to me, been a long time since I’ve stood on a proper terrace. I really can’t wait for some real football. I’m a Saints fan but have only been to cup games in recent years as I refuse to pay over £20 for a ticket on principal and I’m sick of the sterilised, boring experience of attending premier league games.
I’m hoping tomorrow’s experience can reignite my love of the game and makes me want to get an Eastleigh season ticket.

Defo cricketers before the game. It’s a friendly club but just be realistic about the standard of football. It’s often no better then Sunday morning level

I had a season ticket the first season Saints played at St Mary's, but hated being treated as a customer not a fan, so started watching the Spitfires (except they weren't the Spitfires yet!) and fell back in love with the game. Haven't regretted 1 second of it.

While the footballs a long way short of what you see in the Premier league, it is always well, well above Sunday league level. Players in our league mostly earn several hundreds of Pounds a week, often a lot more. You don't get paid that if you are on a par with Sunday league football.

The level varies. There are some moments not out of place at PL level, there are comedy moments not out of place in Sunday football. Same higher up the chain, though. All part of the fun.
Beano's strike on Saturday, and the move preceding it, was pretty high-quality, for example.
I saw some dross on the PL highlight show this weekend too. In the Bundesliga last weekend the Hannover 96 goalkeeper shanked his goal kick so badly it went out for a corner!
And as a lot of people say, it's not just about the quality of the football, it's about the whole match experience. So I hope tifo enjoys his evening. Being on a smaller scale it should be a more 'personal' experience. And obviously we should be doing our best to encourage him and to welcome him.

Tifo, as has been said, behind where we're attacking is normally good. Ignore some of the negative comments made by people, all in all it's a good friendly club with good fans, the standard of football can vary, as it does with any team. Buckle up, sit tight and enjoy the ride!!!

Welcome Tifo and agree that Cricketers is good but for me The Hangar(which you normally have to go in before getting into the ground)is a proper supporters bar. Enjoy the game and the overall experience of a friendly community club.

After 10 years never missing a match at all Saints games home and away I felt the same as u Tifo. I bought an EFC season tkt and now love football again. And kick offs as they always were Tues 1945 sat 1500. I dont go home worrying about the result, I walk around pitch and I buy food and drink at reasonable prices. Its back to the level I enjoy good and bad. And it has an owner who CARES about the supporters and just wants the best for the Club. So i hope u enjoy tonight. All the best.

I do! If we lose on a Saturday, it spoils my whole weekend.

I dont go home worrying about the result. Have to disagree with this - I shall continue to support Eastleigh through the good and the bad times, home and away. However, the results are so vital for everyone involved with the club and a few more wins will hopefully give the team their confidence back. Does the result matter after a 500 mile plus round trip? Yes it does; however it won’t stop me supporting the club we all know and love.

We all have different opinions. Yes I do all the away games as well but a bad result isnt the end of the world to me. Its just part of football and I to will continue to support the club whatever league we r in. But because I dont worry myself to death over it doesnt make me any less of a supporter than those who let it spoil their weekend
