Many games are still to be played in the 3rd Qualifying round, including 16 matches scheduled for tonight/tomorrow. I assume the draw for the First Round proper will be early next week.

Back in the Wessex days - in the last season that Dave Blandford and Ray Light ran the youth team (they took over as first team managers the following season) - the team got a 1-1 draw at Home Park. The draw for the next round pitched the replay winners at home to Spurs. On a freezing night at Ten Acres Plymouth won the replay 3-1. Will be tough but can we better this result from 97.

AWAY TO PLYMOUTH ARGYLE - We don't seem to have much luck with the draws in the FAYC in recent seasons. Our neighbours, Sholing got a home tie against Clevedon Town.

Wonder if this tie will be played at home park? From the competition rules: The venue of each match will be that of the first drawn Club unless the consent of the Council has been obtained to any change of venue up to and including the Fifth Round Proper.

Cheers. Suppose it is good that it doesn't clash with a first team home game, but not the most convenient for away fans to get to

Weekend I spose. Saturday, even before Plymouth first team game maybe? Or a sunday.
Maybe up to 100 I guess. Just musing out loud really.
Guessing there will be a crowd somewhere in the region of 1,000 in a stadium with capacity close to 20,000, will be quite empty.
Certainly be a heck of a result if we could get something up there

Certainly be a heck of a result if we could get something up there Competition rules say all games must be played under floodlight conditions on midweek dates unless mutually agreed otherwise & approved by FA Council - so I guess there would have to be a very good reason to play at weekend. We won't take more than 20 Doubt if crowd will exceed 300 Would be but both the league clubs we have had in this competition recently have been a step to far for our youth, so far this season Malmesbury was a scrap, Wells was easier but a full time academy side will give our lads a true test
