Interesting to note that Daryl McMahon (their manager), and Andy Drury and Luke Coulson two of their players were all former Eastleigh midfielders and both Daryl and Andy are former captains of the club. I certainly think at the time they were made all three were significant signings for this club, although I think it is fair to say that for the most part Richard Hill has bought well in the transfer market.

Expected Coulson to be playing a couple of leagues higher, for me the best player I've seen in an Eastleigh shirt. With Part's behind him an excellent combination. Duty also a real asset, like to see them playing for us again!

2-2 a fair result, really. We had the best of the first half, Ebbsfleet the second. Think they may have had more injuries out than us, but they looked very positive going forward in the second. Cavaghn Miley made his debut in midfield today & had a very good game. Definitely looks an excellent prospect. Luke Coulson was hardly in the game & was substituted in the second half.

I was talking to a Fleet supporter before the game & he said LC had been brilliant for them so far. Yesterday, he was anonymous. Bit like with us, a really good spell followed by indifferent form. But why are we talking so much about one of our ex players? Not too much comment about the game yesterday, which wasn't bad, certainly better than v Aldershot. And we did score 2 goals, coming from behind to draw.

Surprising...how good he was at Eastleigh.
He was great at Eastleigh until two thing happened:
1) He got a load of publicity 2) He got an injury.
I don't think he will ever be above national level until he is able to learn how to avoid being kicked by opponents and how to ignore press, good, bad or otherwise.

Jammy equaliser but they all count. Plus what a decent little ground.

Any idea how many spitfires there were?
2 coaches going so with others travelling by car/train etc presumably at least 100?

Ebbsfleet didn't announce the away attendance. Your estimate not far out, I should think....

Always difficult at our place to give away attendance - we do point away fans to the far end of the ground, but obviously don't insist on it when games aren't segregated. Equally home fans can use the far end to enter the ground.
