Was in the Mackoy stand today looking like he had done 10 rounds with Floyd Mayweather sporting a massive black eye so his injury was definitely not faked and he probably felt groggy afterwards which may account for some of the time wasting(i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt)

This is where the club could help themselves and if Graham was happy with it a quick photo of injury on the forum would give a better understanding of how he put himself at risk for the team.

Some people will always take a dim view & assume the worst though won't they?

Unfortunately Stack has made it difficult for people to believe he is genuinely injured due to his oscar winning performances in the past. Torquay away last season perhaps his star turn at play acting. I wish him well in his recovery.

It's not just him, we're getting a bit of reputation for timewasting and play-acting if you read some other clubs' discussion boards. 'Professional' is the other word that could be used.
I think Stack is a pretty brave keeper generally, so it's a shame if we've reached the stage where some people are not sure how badly he was injured.
Mind you, there wasn't much sympathy for that Aldershot bloke who got carried off yesterday until the stretcher came out. It was that kind of game. I didn't think that their captain was injured by Zeb's arm until I saw all the blood it produced, either.

At Woking we were right pizzed off with their Chelsea loaned keeper telling first a photographer and then a steward to not return the ball so he could take his time fetching it. Most clubs are at it, the only people that lose out are the fans who have paid good money to see a game rather than feigning/strolling sessions.

Unfortunately higher u go up the leagues harder it gets. At most professional clubs the ball boys are briefed that if u are losing u get the ball into play asap-if ur winning u leave it so time is wasted. For young ball boys to be taught cheating is in my mind just awful--least that one doesnt apply to our club as ball boys change each game

stack is no different from any other keeper. all teams timewaste when winning narrowly, especially keepers who are obvs in the best position to and get the most chances to. its part of being professional.
its not nice to watch, not what we pay our money for but if it helps you waste a few minutes and close out games it will get you an extra 5-10 points in a season which might turn an OK season into a good one. or a good one into an excellent season.
Sure annoying when the opposition do it though. 1 man is responsible for making sure it doesn't totally take the p!ss - the ref.
all players will get away with as much as the ref allows them to.

It wasn't quite as bad as Woking's keeper untying and retying his boots before our penalty. Plus the above comment when he was arguing with the stewards when they caught flying balls and went to throw it straight back in for play to continue.

Rugby League Cup Final showed how to do it.....STOP THE CLOCK....and get your full 80 minutes play for your money......time for football to follow suit and kill forever the thought of time wasting.

I don't watch much Rugby so can anyone tell me, is it down to the ref to stop the clock, a 4th official or the official timekeeper? If the ball goes out for a goal kick does the clock stop immediately it crosses the line, or if/when it is deemed the keeper is taking too long to play the ball back in? (I know they don't have goal kicks in Rugby, but you get my drift)

Be a bit drastic to change to rugby rules!!!
It's really up to the ref, once he starts dishing out cards the time wasting magically stops

From a medical point of view I cannot begin to comprehend how he was allowed to continue after that injury. Whether he was unconscious or not (he looked it for a prolonged period) it is surely the wrong decision to allow him to continue. Obviously Cookie and the doctor were with him some time and we don't know exactly what happened but I wonder if he continued against medical advice? Strongly feel that all head injuries should result in the player leaving the pitch - a haematoma or haemorrhage can be hard to spot and not be obvious immediately so close monitoring for any signs of concussion should occur off the pitch.

Agree with you there, can't be too careful with head injuries. Though some keepers will always use it to there advantage
