do we know what the situation is yet?
1- will the hangar be open?
2- will away fans be allowed to drink at the ground?
3- can we mix with away fans?

Don't think anything has been officially confirmed yet, but imagine arrangements will be clarified shortly

What an absolute bloody shambles last night. "Bare with us while we sort it out" they said. No...sort it out BEFORE the game and paying customers are left wandering about not knowing how to get about. It was like Hampton court maze last night!

Yes a complete shambles. 2 of us had to explain that we'd already been in the ground and out again to get in the hanger. I'd imagine everybody went through the turnstiles then couldn't get to a bar. Why didn't the club put some info out. Missed revenue as I'm sure the Sutton fans weren't aware they could have got a beer in the hanger before kickoff

Agree that the club should have made it clear about the arrangements before the game, but now we do know we'll just have to remember for the future.

Had used ticket from season ticket to get in the first time. Had to get back out to get in the hanger. So wasn't allowed through the turnstiles by the hanger as didn't have ticket in my booklet anymore. Had to find someone at reception to explain what happened. He didn't seem to believe we managed to get out to get in the hanger. The cues in the new bar seemed very long and the hanger was empty before kick off. No big deal, as mentioned we know for Saturday.

Obviously having 3 pre-season home games cancelled hasn't helped the club/fans get used to the new situation but I think you could certainly say there has been a bit of a lack of communication from the club on this.
In particular hopefully away fans will be made aware that they can get booze at our club pre match (obviously hasn't been that way for the pretty much all of the last 3 years). A midweek home game with Sutton probably won't make us that much behind the bar, but a 3pm against Aldershot/Tranmere etc could make us thousands of pounds. Don't want to miss out on that!

No doubt it is important to have a notice at the entrance to the Hangar (as shown in Rendel's earlier post on this thread) stating the entry arrangements etc. So long though that it is realised that actually very few people are likely to stop and read it. Needless to say, these new arrangements are NOT explained on the club website. Responsibility for the confusion and frustration, and any by product of that, must surely therefore lie with the club

Can the thread be re-titled Dagenham & Redbridge/bar arrangements?

One thing that I would have liked to have happened on Tuesday is for one of the helpers having the job of explaining to anyone with a query which parts of the new building can be used on match days and how they can be accessed. I think that it is frustrating for people who arrive well over 15 minutes before the game starts in order to buy a drink, but find that the minutes they waste trying to find out where they can do so means they are too late.
I purchased a season ticket after the Sheffield United game believing that the majority in the blue area had been sold and with names on the back of seats, but when I arrived on Tuesday my seat was occupied.
