The turn around in 10 days only, since the arrival of Reid, Macca & Tubbs has been amazing. The team has changed completely despite many of the players being the same. Paul Reid for POTM anyone? Move over Greener!!

Really impressed that we bounced back after giving up the lead twice. That never happened under MA. They seem to have a new never say die attitude under RH Also from the radio commentary it seemed the players were genuinely excited about the win at the end of the game, even though we have nothing to play for - except the most important things - Pride & a chance to wear the shirt again next season.

I noted that we didn't have a keeper on the bench. Is Clarke injured or was that a tactical move by RH?

Now the planning can start for next season. RH and the team deserve all the credit for making us smile again....win number 4 on Saturday? You bet, Gateshead wobbled last night...and we're in the mood!!!!

Anyone know what happened at the end of the game? RH said in his Solent interview that the players were given quite a bit of grief from the Torquay fans?

Quite a few comments on their forum about that.... but most acknowledged that if the boot had been on the other foot they'd have expected the same from their team.
Good result - as said, now there's no talk of relegation any more, then RH can start to plan for the future.

This match had everything you could ask for providing you just remembered you weren't watching Real Madrid, though there was some excellent and clever football at times and our three goals were absolute peaches with the third (and Sam Matthews' second) being a goal of the season contender. We had English Riviera conditions during the match including continuous high wind, some heavy rain and a spectacular blinding hail storm early in the second half which was at its height when Torquay got their first equaliser. The great thing at the moment though is watching players who a month ago looked tense, nervous and disorganised, now turning in high energy performances and becoming a well organised, highly motivated and confident team. And, from the celebrations on the final whistle, they seem to be enjoying this new winning experience. BTW we now seem to have a very symmetrical playing record of P39 W13 D13 L13 F51 A51.

Good spot on the symmetrical stats, John. Re TU's first goal, I think without the storm going on at the time, it wouldn't have gone in, or to put.it another way the wind blew it into our goal.
