People who flippantly say ' well do something else' are so short sighted. If Eastleigh put season tickets Upto a grand and some tosser said 'well go and support another club then' what would they say? People do have a right to question things in rip off Britain

why is it flappant to say you can go to a pub for no fee , that is the only comment made that suggests they will do something else ,poor old Martincole he seemed to have had the same concern as yours willk and now you have shot him down

If you are really worried about rip off Britain Will, suspect your starting point should be the government, there are county elections in May still plenty of time to stand, you could go independent or set up a '£5 beer festivals for all' party you'd soon drum up a following with your Farage styling ☺

We were kindly asked if our band could play at the beer festival , unfortunatly some of our band are away , but our fee would have gone to a local charity so i suppose that is one good reason to charge.

Beer festival did very well last year so fingers crossed it will do again this year. Well done to Dan and all those that put hard work in to make it happen.
Carvery sounds a really good step too, hopefully to bring people in to the club and make a few quid as well.
£10 sounds about right to me, used to go to the toby carvery in Bishopstoke quite a bit 6/7 years ago and that was about £7-£8 back then I think.

Can anybody who went last year tell me what this is like? Where exactly is it within the ground? How much is a pint etc ? £10 seems a lot to get into something to simply pay more money, ok you get a beer included and a glass ( easily pinch able if you really wanted one) what exactly is the other £6/7 getting you? It seems that Eastleigh are a bit out on their pricing structures eg a Sunday carvery £9.95??? Most expensive carvery I've seen for a very long time. When and where do you last go for a carvery Willk? Usually expect to pay somewhere between £9.95 and £12.95. You could always go to the Alma....... (Perhaps they put on free beer festivals too?).

Whenever I eat out I like to get value for money. However I do not think many places offer roast meals for under £5 and from my experience a carvery has offered unrestricted choice and quantity which for me at least doubles the value.
I think that in the past the club has provided music tribute nights which cost at least £10 to get in and so I do not think that for people who enjoy all the things that are associated with a beer festival £10 is too much for people to pay. The fact that the event appears to be a sell out suggests that other people share this view.

Yes, fair enough as long as people are stupid enough to pay prices let them go as high as they want. So why do football fans complain about ticket prices at the Emirates-sell out, etihad-sell out, old Trafford-sell out. I've just never paid to get into somewhere to then hedge the honour of paying some more. Don't get it-and I've been to a lot of beer festivals. Can't imagine the weyhill fair in Andover charging to get it and that has bands on all day, bills to pay etc but I would imagine the £2 profit per pint looks after that

Ok ok enough criticism , I was wrong. I totally admit that. The team and management have done brilliantly to turn this around
