2-0 ht
Been an even first half, we've been more on top as the game has gone on.

Thanks but won't work in the US & the VPN I usually use isn't working either! I'd like to think that we'll have more overseas followers in future years Mark. It doesn't help you now but I'd guess the club will find a way of making the superb BBC local radio coverage available to all. 2-0 at half time seems promising with Mandron keeping up his brilliant goal scoring ratio.

Shows that MA know exactly what he was doing on Saturday. Great result and a chance that (if the trains are running) I'll get to return to Brentford for the first time in over 40 years. Not bad for little old Eastleigh - last 3 seasons in the Cup - 2nd R; 3rd R replay; 3rd R (at least)

Who cares about losing to Harlow now? Sounded like a totally professional display from the team, with Halifax having few chances & with our late chances it could have been 3 or 4. Good substitutions by MA who seems to have given the players more direction & confidence. Clean sheet for RH, sounded like he had a good game. Bring on Brentford!!!

Wasn't a vintage performance but job done!
Halifax had a man sent off late on which made things just a little easier!
Special mention to Ryan huddart who I thought played really well tonight.

Listening on Radio Solent it seemed that Huddart made some vital saves which after some of the earlier criticism must mean he starts again at Brentford. His confidence is obviously growing under MA but still needs a bit more authority and shouting in the box.

The problem is the BBC & FA, not the club. BBC only allow their internet only broadcasts to be heard overseas, not their regular programming & The FA don't allow FA Cup ties to be broadcast overseas. Usually I find a way around it but am at work today so my options were limited. But, we won anyway, thats what matters - and kept a clean sheet. From the texts/tweets I read it sounded like Huddart had a great game.

Sadly, it's a copyright issue. The BBC and the FA (and other broadcasters) are acting all BBB on this and are trying find ways to stop the "services" that Mark refers to. The copyright holders don't get an income from the illegal transmission of video/audio streams. I can't see that the club has any influence that it can bring to the table over this.

Take the point you guys are making re copyright protection and restricting the BBC broadcasts. I do wonder though why things can't be better than they are.
The FA seems a monopolistic dinosaur. Rather than going out and selling FA Cup rights to a receptive worldwide audience they just insist that broadcasts are blocked. I fully appreciate the need for IPR and Copyright etc but surely there's a market to be tapped.
How hard would it be for the FA to do a deal with American sports networks to provide full access in North America to all FA Cup tie radio commentaries? I've driven through places in America where you can only pick up Country or Bible stations on the car radio so I realise the demand might not be universal but it is there.

From Rd 3 they show more live Cup games on TV here than in the UK, and they show at least 4 live Premier games every saturday (the early game, 2 of the 3pm kick offs & the late game) and usually a minimum 2 live games on Sunday, plus the Monday night game and any Prem games during the week. I guess the lure of the minnows in the US is not very strong!!
