Comments in the Swindon clone of the Echo suggest quite a few STFC fans have a similar clash on the Friday with several who have already bought tickets looking to sell them or seek a refund.

I know a few people are a bit miffed but spare a thought for this bloke. From the Swindon forum "Shiiiiiiiitttttttt. Now clashes with Killing Joke @ Brixton on the 4th. Decsions, decisions, love of the greatest band in the world v love of the greatest football team in the world. Fuuuuuuuccccckkkkkkk." Being a massive Killing Joke fan. I feel his pain Killing Joke or Giant Killing - Tough choice?? Tough choice but I'd have to pick the game and sing a Requiem for Swindon!

Tickets say 19.55 on them so I think we can take that as the Kick off time.
Would hope/think there would be a bit of pre match coverage as well? 30-45 minutes?
They have to introduce our plucky team of postman/bricklayers etc and set the scene for an upset!

Obviously a few less tickets will be sold to people who can't make the match (though of course there will be some the other way!) but I think the extra media attention the game will see due to it being on TV will balance this out.
Doubt the match will sell out (hope I'm wrong) but I think anything 4000+ will be fairly decent.
I remember the Bolton game sold a lot of tickets early on and then had a slight lull (at that point I don't think we thought it would sell out) followed by a late surge of demand in the few days before the game.
Assuming there are still some tickets left on Friday 4th I assume will be able to sell them up until near Kick off time which would definitely be a plus.

There is always going to be people for whom Friday is more convenient and those for whom it is not. However I do think that Friday is less likely to clash with another footballing activity the person may be involved in, although for me personally I did not want the tie to be played on the Sunday after 3pm.
