No big loss tbh. I could probably count the amount of good games he had on one hand.

Strange one. Although i personally prefer Greener at LB as he gives us a far better attacking threat, and with no width in the team, the attacking threat has to come from the full backs, so Greener gives us more than Harding. But without doubt Harding is a great defensive LB and knowing his reasons for coming to us in the first place, i'm guessing this was his choice to be transfer listed, and he probably wants to get back to playing in the FL league. I don't think Toddy trusts Greener defensively, so i expect him to bring in a new LB who will start ahead of Greener next season.

One of the better players after the fa cup run before he got injured many others could be counted on one hand

That's a surprise!! For me this leaves a hole at LB. Yes Green is good but without doubt Harding is the better defender.
We've got a lot of work to do now rebuilding our defence!!

Dependable Dan. Nothing fancy. A solid full back at this level. Never saw him have a bad game.

A strange decision, Dan imo always played well, he did go forward despite other comments and one thing he brought to Eastleigh was his ability to read the game well. A good expeienced player going out of the door-I do not understand!!!!! This on top of Will Evans is quite bazaar.

Seems like I am in a minority of one on DH. I spent the whole time scratching my head wondering how this guy had played in the championship. Glad to see him go. We will start the season stronger without him.

We will start the season stronger without him. I am with you so maybe you are not in the minority. I remember one match this season DH launching a volley of abuse at the bench when things were not going well which suprised me. Perhaps he's been told he's not guaranteed a starting place next season and therefore wants out. All this clear out suggests to me that there will be some very big signings this summer. Watch this space.

How the f*** you can knock Dan Harding is beyond me . Maybe you dont watch much football or if you do you dont know what your watching . Totally out of order imho .

TBH I'm guessing this has come mostly from the club rather than Dan Harding.
I'm not knocking Dan Harding but I've always assumed he was on a decent whack so I'm reckon we are looking at it and thinking we might be able to get better value for money with another option.
Obviously its a tricky balancing act as we don't want to burn any bridges - the fact is at the moment Dan is an Eastleigh player with another year to run on his contract.

No ones knocking him, I just don't think it is much of a shock that he is transfer listed. He's not indespensible. I don't understand the great 'love in' that some fans have for either Evans or Harding. Move on, the club can do better and must do better. I remember a couple of seasons ago being suprised when Glen Southam left. Look at the midfield we have now. I have complete faith in what the Chairman is doing and I think he has probably learnt a lot too about what will gain promotion next season.

Sorry but yes he is being knocked . If he wants to go or the club want to offload then fine , but dont knock the bloke . You dont play for leeds , saints , notts forest and others by being not very good .

Big loss in my opinion! A football league club will snap Dan up for sure..... Full backs seem to have to get forward on every occasion these days (whilst I agree that's not a bad thing) and it can take away the defensive duties that Harding did so well.....
Evans and even Midson leaving have surprised me, Jack's opportunities this season have been few a far between but I've always felt he gives his all and has never let anyone down when given a chance! Understand his age but would still have kept him onboard.
Will as many have said also gave his all and has plenty of years ahead of him! He played lots last season and certainly wasn't as inconsistent as Todd had made out!
All in all a strange few days in the out goings of the club. I'm sure there will be incoming quality and I understand it's that time of the season, ins and outs etc but can't help think things don't seem right at the minute..........

The only surprising thing of the last week for me has been the departure of Will Evans; but if I knew the full story, maybe it wouldn't be a surprise. I'm with Tottonspitfire when he says "You don't play for Leeds, Saints, Notts Forest and others by being not very good". All I am saying is I haven't seen DH very often looking very good, I am certain that if we recruit wisely, we will get someone as good or better than him.
As for Jack Midson - correct me if I am wrong, but when we signed him it was as a goalscorer. I saw at least two games last season where Flitney came closer than Midson to scoring. Its all very well supporting our players, and coming on here saying how good they are, well if they were that good, how come we ended up 7th!
