Think Sutton and Ebbsfleet are level Paul, and they play each other Saturday!!! This 3 point business that Sutton has could yet hold up the PO's in that league should Sutton lose points and then appeal, so really if Sutton win Saturday and get one point elsewhere those 3 points won't matter a jot.

Yes apologies, you are correct Keith, they are level with a game in hand. I think in my head with their superior goal difference i was giving them the extra point over Ebbsfleet. They will be deducted 3 points for sure, but will still win the league, imo. I understand that 3g or 4g pitches are to be allowed in the national League next season, so they will come up with a pitch that will naturally give them an advantage at home. I think they could be very serious contenders next season (if they do come up).

If Sutton do come up, I can see them mid table, the new pitch will certainly help. Not sure they will necessarily lose the three points though, if that should be the difference between them winning the league or not winning the league, knowing Dos he will take it ALL the way, which could put a huge spoke in the conference south play offs.

Sutton have taken 35 pts at home, 46 away. Perhaps their pitch is hindering them

I'm a bit late but just a few comments.
I thought Ben Strevens was outstanding. He was saving situations and creating opportunities all over the shop. And there were excellent performances around the team.
Interesting to see the comment about not being sure where Luke Coulson was supposed to be on the pitch. I think so long as Barrow had that problem that's fine.
Tubbs and Constable looked very effective. Matt Tubbs was always offering an option, showing for a pass and pulling defenders out of position to create space. James Constable was always pressurising the Barrow defence. Hopefully there could be plenty more to come from both in the next few weeks.
Overall I thought we looked very positive, pressing a high line, moving off the ball and producing some very good free flowing football. In yesterday's playing conditions we could see the quality the side is now able to produce.
The Barrow keeper won't often make a better string of stops and Barrow's corner taking was excellent. It was pointed out to me though that they took their corners with the ball placed well outside the quadrant and that was never picked up by the linesmen on either side.
It's just an observation but having a full change to the left half of the back four might have been a factor to take into consideration regarding the comments made earlier comparing our play on the left and right sides of the pitch. That's no criticism of Will Evans or Michael Green, both of whom can turn matches once they get into their stride.
I might be the only one who is not sure about this but am I right in thinking that the third goal should count as coming from open play rather than from the penalty? The penalty was saved and I'm assuming that from that point the ball is anybody's and therefore in open play.

Yup, a goal from open play. As well as a missed pen,
I think the latter can be forgiven this time!

Passed most of us by, but without kicking a ball on Tuesday night, Solihull Moors won the National North. Pretty impressive as its their first season at that level following promotion last season. They've only lost once away in the league and what a strange result that was...Harrogate Town 6 Solihull Moors 0. Elsewhere Poole Town need only to win on Saturday to clinch their championship and promotion to National South, and Winchester looking good for a PO spot. Basingstoke are virtually gone, and Havant are in a fight to stay up....I remember a number of Eastleigh fans saying after the pre season friendly last summer at Havant that they thought they were a good bet for the National South title!!! They can't be team of the year, but definitely CLUB of the year is Bashley, would love to see them avoid conceding 200 goals but with two games left and sitting on 195 its difficult.

It does not have to be in the quadrant, that is not the rule It's the same as a byline in that only 1mm example so to speak has to not be over the line for it to be in play. Eg whole ball not over. You can place it outside quadrant as long as the tiniest part of ball hangs overs the quadrant line. This is still classed as being "inside the corner arc". The base part of the ball where actually touches the ground will be half a ball outside the quadrant, but that's fine. I dont believe the ball has to physically touch the line, even though rule would probably be read that way.

Solihull Moors have been in the Conf North for atleast 4 seasons from memory, FC United and Curzon were promoted into that league last season for sure. Bashley club of the year ? For what? Should have gone down last year and not wasted everyone's time, sadly step 4 is becoming a joke, teams that win their county leagues and have money/ backing can quite easily make it back to back promotions, clubs like Bashley stop the leagues from becoming entertaining at the bottom whilst 15 or so club with no ambition coast along nicely.

Really...four seasons??? They were promoted last season!! As for Bashley you have no idea, a team trying their best, a team that is credit to themselves, it is what football is all about. we expect more of OUR club because we are fortunate SD choose us....imagine if he choose North Leigh....a club he played for...a level Bashley are at....the football family cares for all..even though every season we have champions and relegated clubs...let's not forget that.

Not the Solihull moors i know of? I have no idea about Bashley? One of my mates plays for them, constantly promised money injection by new owners in October time, never forthcoming, saved by a millionaire 18 year old who used to play part time for them, joke of a club that should have taken voluntary relegation last season.

There was clear daylight between the circumference of the ball and the outer edge of the quadrant white line SS, with no overhang. I know the rule and was looking very hard once somebody pointed out to me what they were doing. If I had been nearer the pitch I would have mentioned it to the linesman, (very quietly obviously).

Solihull Moors have definitely been in the Conference North for at least 3 seasons, maybe more.
