"Come on Eileen" Isn't that the song that Bristol Rovers use? Is '633 Squadron' used by another club? Failing that, the Benny Hill theme ;-)? I think Bristol Rovers use " Goodnight Irene" But the Benny Hill theme is a great idea or "Ernie the fastest milkman in the west"

There should never ever be music when a goal is scored at a football match. All you should hear are the fans. Please dont turn this game into Basketball or Ice-hockey, where its all about the razzamatazz.

I would agree Paul, Kaid Mohamed is the other player that I'd overlooked in that category.
Still, I'm not surprised given the need to shore up the squad with little time to do it at the start that a couple have not worked out. Who knows, KM might come back and turn out to be a good addition.
I'd have taken Michael Poke and you're always going to have one good keeper waiting for his chance. Many people would have liked Lewis Noice to be given a chance but I would not have wanted to keep him here just to sit on the bench.
I'm guessing Tom Holland wasn't signed to go straight into the first team, though I don't know what the arrangement is with Swansea.

I would expect Swansea are expecting him to get game time, otherwise there is nothing in it for them or the player. usually clubs agree how much game time that should mean, so i am expecting him to figure at some stage very soon.

All joking aside im not a fan of any music being played after a goal is scored because it creates a false atmosphere. You celebrate the goal being scored not the music being played. Also it doesnt feel very traditional. At Selhurst Park they used to play music everytime the home side won a corner.

Agree we shouldn't be playing music after a goal.
Can anyone enlighten me re the goalkeeping situation? Poke appeared to have been chosen ahead of Flitney a few games ago but then Flitney suddenly appeared in goal again for the FGR game and has kept his place since. Did CT make a decision to go back to Flits, or was Poke injured, or what?

Todd went back to Flits by choice, not injury. I think Todd was under pressure as we were conceding too many goals, so he dropped Poke, when it truth it was the defence infront of him that were letting us down. But he didnt have enough cover to drop any defenders as there are always 1 or 2 out injured or suspended, so the defence often picks itself. Thats what you get when you have a small squad and defenders keep getting themselves sent off! I think when it comes down to it, Todd will make Poke his no.1 nest season (assuming both are still at the club), otherwise it was pointless bringing Poke back as a permanent signing. Flits makes the odd mistake and his kicking really lets him down, but he also makes plenty of great saves. Personally speaking, I dont think there are too many keepers better than Flits at this level, but Poke definately hasn't signed for us to be a no.2. I think Flits will be moved on at the end of the season. And i for one, will be sad to see him go.

Ross would still be my 1st choice. I don't think think Poke gives us anything extra.
Ross stays.

Thanks for the background, Sattsy - yes, I'm afraid we won't be able to keep both keepers next season.
Flits' kicking seems to have improved recently, plus I still think he communicates better with his defence. Hard choice to make IMO.

The background i gave is only my point of view, it is not an official club statement on the situation.

Yes, you did start every paragraph with 'I think....'
But it's still good to get an informed point of view, since I've not seen it discussed anywhere else. I think you're probably right about Flits.

Steam locomotives, Benny Hill and Spitfires - and basketball players too!
That was a while ago. Mind you, the rest of them were even longer ago.....
Has he missed anything else out?
