It's when you meet someone in a club drunk and then see what they look like when you are sober.

Maybe he was so excited about playing for Eastleigh, Toddy had to send him away to calm down a little. Let's hope he scores some goals on Saturday when he comes back.

Sounds very odd!
Good to have him back for sat, we need all the players we can available at the moment. I reckon if he can grab a goal he could well get a few

In truth, he's not likely to get any/many the way we are set up with Beano and him up top as a distant pair. We created more chances last night with 10 men and just paying 1 up top, than we have in 5 or 6 games playing Beano & Tubbs together.

Tubbs Is a confidence player.lets hope he gets his goal soon and they start flowing. Although I do agree he doesn't fit our system of playing and i find it very ironic that was the reason portsmouth no longer required him.

History shows that Tubbs only scores goals when playing alongside a target man who wins the ball in the air. The season before his last at Salisbury he only scored about 5 goals, because they played him alongside Charlie Griffen who scored well over 20, but was useless as an aid to Tubbs. Surprised Todd signed him without the right man to be beside him. This is just basics and to make matters worse Todd I beleive was at Salisbury at the time. Todd should have signed Brodie. Useless footballer, but good in the air and the type of lunitic Conference defenders hate.

I think I would rather have Jamie Hand back at the club than Richard Brodie!

By your own admission, Brodie is a "Useless footballer" and yet you think we should of signed him?? I seriously wonder about some of the people on this forum sometimes!

It would be a brave/foolish manager to drop our top scorer for the last 2 seasons and replace him with a guy who hasn't scored this season to supplement a loan player who also hasn't scored in his few games with us this season.

Or a masterstroke to do it....Tubbs could get the goals that get the team to the PO....Constable has scored in only 2 of the last 9 league games (3 in total)so it's hardly brave/foolish. Now that Coulson is playing down the right wing and Jai is in the middle, why not try Jack and Matt? What's to lose? I still think Yemi with Matt could really open up defences but we'll never know unless we try different things, we are somewhat predictable when James is upfront and teams are shutting us out, 9 league goals in 9 league games this year, one an own goal, backs that up. The team seems to be lacking in confidence and they've got to find that belief again to go on a big run to the season's end. I don't see changing things up front as a risk but a necessity, it is not about a player, it is about what is best for EFC to succeed and get into the PO. Change things to help Matt get those goals, he is class and we're not using him correctly, as the saying goes, we have nothing to lose, everything to gain.

Totally agree with you, Keith. Yes Beano is our top scorer and was last year too, but come on, anyone who wears the number 9 shirt and starts most games SHOULD ALWAYS be your top scorer. Is 15-19 goals enough? Not for me. Beano gives his all and is decent at this level, but he's not going to win us the league. Tubbs can (next season), if you give him the right partner, as he has proved at a higher level. he was top scorer in L2 last year for chrissakes...It's pointless having Tubbs at the club if you dont use him properly. A couple of years back i think Macca was top scorer 2 seasons running on about 19, but the difference was, Jai also got about 18-19 in those 2 seasons. That is what you call a partnership. When one striker only gets 3 in 9 games and the other gets 0, then surely even a blind man can see its a partnership that does not work.

So what is a 'cooling off clause'? Does it mean if we have a lot of games in a short period of time, Woking was the 6th game in 29 days, he has to miss a game to get a rest so he is not building up to an injury? If so then assuming he plays until then, he is also out of the Grimsby game!! If he gets on a scoring run then that could be a big miss......(I know it's also a big if at this stage but my glass is half full)
