Now 2-0 down. We need to rethink something otherwise the slide starts here I know we can't win everything but we seem to be beaten before we get on the pitch at the moment!

3v2. So that's back to back defeats, a loss to a team stranded at the bottom of the league and just 4 points from 18 and ten without a win.Terrible, terrible form. Quote from Solent about Tubbs 'He's hardly been in it and is struggling for fitness.' Oh dear. Got to stick with it on Saturday. Really need a result to steady the ship. As wonderful as the FA cup was, has it derailed our season?

The FA cup was always going to cost us a few points.
But that is a long gone. We are now 9 without a win. The fantastic away run is now over.
Saturday v Barrow is gonna be tense

Let's get back to basics and let's get the confidence back. We are a good team on our day, we should shoot on sight more too.

Why is Barrow going to be tense? They are going to get the backlash from a squad of players who will go out there and put in a BIG performance because that's how a good team shows their mettle. We've had a sticky run, it happens to every team, we're not immune to that, nor is Cheltenham who are due one, though their's may be a short patch. Our gateway to promotion is now through the play offs, our problem is the backlog of fixtures with Woking (Sat 27th Feb) now also to be re-arranged. There are 11 Saturdays left in the season, and 16 games to play. Its also worth noting that tonight Chester plays Halifax in the FA Trophy and the winners will play Gateshead at home in the QF on Feb 27th. The winners progress to the Semi-Finals played over two legs on the week-ends of March 12th and 19th.......We play Chester on the 12th March and Halifax on the 19th March, so unless Gateshead win through, we will have another game to re-arrange as well. Could mean 16 games over 9 Saturdays, with Easter as well it means we play twice a week from now on. Going to be very tough. One game at a time though, bring on Barrow...we owe them for that first minute penalty win they got up there.

Saturday IS going to be tense, at least until we go 2-0 up and we need to stop finding excuses. Beat Barrow and the world will look a helluva lot better.

Your finding excuses already by saying its going to be tense and could be tough...we might not win!!!!! POSITIVE is what we need people...Our team is brilliant, we are superb, unplayable on our day, the best side in the league....come on lets hear it for EFC. We're playing Barrow, they've won 3 on the road, they've conceded 39 goals in 17 away matches, don't start worrying about Barrow and build them up into something difficult to turn over. Come Saturday with The Shed End in full voice lifting our players, we'll give them the belief and support they deserve. CT will do his bit, we'll do ours, we're all in this together.

Keith, sorry mate but they weren't brilliant last night, in fact they were very very poor for 70 mins of the game. I'm sure we all hope and expect the players to come out fighting against Barrow, and turn in a performance that we know they are capable of, but we all hoped that last night too and it simply didn't happen. I didn't go to Lincoln, but i was told it was the same thing there, so something needs to change. Last night we started the game with Greener playing left Midfield and i was looking forward to seeing him burst forward from there, but with the injury to Harding in the 2nd minute, he had to revert to left back and then never got forward once, not because he didnt want to, but because he was marking the MOM in their side, who was running riot. They had 2 massive central midfield players, who were bullying our lads, with only Strevens putting up a fight for the ball. We totally lost the midfield and that was where we lost the game IMO. We seem to have stopped playing with a holding midfielder and that showed from very early on in the game, with Kiddy constantly running straight through the middle of the park. You could say we missed Drury & Jai, but the players coming in, should have done much better. Toddy changed things second half, pushing Mo into a more central forward position behind the front two and that allowed Parts to get down the right flank, which was where both our goals came from, but having got back to 2-2 we were very naive in letting their man run straight through the middle yet again completely unchallenged to score what was a good individual goal, but a goal that could very easily been avoided. I felt sorry for Matt Tubbs, who just had continual long ball lobbed up to him, for him to battle with a huge defender, who beat Tubbs in the air every time, as you might expect. If that is how we are going to play to Tubbs, then he's going to be a very expensive wrong man in the wrong team, and we have to be better than that. TBH, its difficult to see how we are going to turn it around, because they look awful right now and if you are going to concede 2 or 3 goals per game, you are not going to win many football matches. We no longer look or play like a match winning side. IMO, only Strevens and Parts came out of the game with an ok 7/10, the rest of the pack need to look over their shoulders, because the chop is coming hard and fast. I used to moan that under Hilly, at the end of his reign, we were conceding 2 goals per game, we are now conceding 3 goals per game and against sides that are way below us in the league. Come on Toddy, we are better than this, aren't we?

With regards to the 'chop' comment. You could argue that Todd is becoming a tinkerman so a good or bad performance could still see you dropped.
I'd like to see Todd name his best 11, stick with it and tell people you earn/lose your spot. There is no competition for places if your going to rotate regardless.
