Fed up of seeing whiteinpeace name on the forum so I'll post this. The new stand steels looked very impressive yesterday and I'm sure we are all looking forward to reapid progress over the next few weeks. Any chance of it being open for the Chester game, I wonder?

I spoke to Jeweller on Saturday and he reckoned about 8 weeks ie mid to late November.
So looks a long shot, but would love to be proved wrong!

Is someone able to confirm the colour of the seats? Last I heard they were green...

As far as i know the seats were bought second hand so what ever colour they are will be.

Blue would obviously be best, but if they aren't blue, well, its not exactly the end of the world.
We'll just have to make sure its full every week :0)

I find it rather disconcerting that the colour of the seats is an issue, how about a big "THANK YOU" to SD instead of negativity. The new south-stand looks very impressive and our ground really looks like a ground. As Chris Blake said in another thread, the view from the back of the stand is excellent and the two supporting stanchions are virtually invisible. As I have posted elsewhere there is still a lot to do before we can fully use the stand and trust me frenetic work is going on to get the ancillaries ordered. A new top-of-the-range soak-away has been installed/buried to take the water (it's not simply gravel and sand anymore) from the stand roof. A state-of-the-art bio-degrading tank will be buried alongside it for the toilet blocks. Work is also going on to investigate the old cess-tank, connected to the main stand, and possible upgrade to incorporate the extra toilets and facilities going in the south-west corner. Once that's all taken care of the car-park all along the west-side will be levelled and tarmacked. So please, let's hear positivity, because I think we should all be extremely grateful.

Couldn't agree more! I, for one, am very grateful for everything that is going on at the club. A big thank you for everyone's efforts!
